Special Kite - Dieppe France 2012
In Dieppe 2010 were organized the first joint flights of the AKA and the Cerf-Volant Club de France, with a kite specifically designed for the 30th anniversary of the festival : the candle.
This will happens again in 2012. The kite chosen has the exact shape of the maple leaf symbol used on the Canadian flag.
The kites will fly where hundreds of Canadian soldiers fell on 19 August 1942, during the Dieppe raid "Operation jubilee". In memoriam.

This is a joint organisation AKA-CVCF, but is open to all kitebuilders wanting to build this kite and fly with us.

If you are interested in being part of the official AKA delegation, contact Marla Miller to get registered and for info about lodging, transportation etc.
Lovely town, huge crowds, flyers from all over the world. Everyone should do it at least once!
