Thankfully, husband Kevin survived (he's home) and thoroughly enjoyed his 2 weeks in India.
Please don't let anyone be put off from adding India to their list of kite festivals to experience... and from what I've heard, the rooftop kite flying (thousands of kites all at once) only happens ONE DAY A YEAR, and is not to be missed.

Seems pretty easy. Just stay away from power transmission lines with metal kite string (or any kite string really) and this won't happen to you.
