Curious!  No doubt the AKA Administrator will have the answer - may not be immediate, (not everyone works and hobbies at the same time) but someone with tech. knowledge will fill in the gaps. ^_^

Kitelady, thanks, I hope you are right. I seek experienced advice about WISIKF as it goes to the friendly use of beach space for kiting and wind sheltering.

Wish I could help, but my only trips Stateside are for the annual Convention in October.  If money grew on trees, though...?!

I ended up going to your profile, clicking on "send this user a message", then canceling that message by clicking on "inbox"... There must be a faster way, but I can't recall it at the moment... The up side, the URL above is direct and will work in your bookmarks.

The Private Messaging facility requires you to have an active session (you've logged in recently) before any link will work. Log onto the site first, then click any link you received.

If you want to READ your messages, click on the pencil beneath YOUR image/avatar
If you want to SEND a message to someone, click on the pencil beneath THEIR image/avatar.

@ the web master,  Ca you please explain how to retrive a private message one more time.  I recieved a message on my personal e-mail address indicating I recieved a private message . I followed your recient instruction and looked for a pencil under my avatar ...there ain't one . All I see under my avatar is   view my profile,,,change my profile.  Where else should I look to find my message.  (I'm an active member and logged in )

Here in the forum, open any topic (like the one you're reading). Next to each entry, look to the left, under the image/avatar, it will have # post, Thank You, Report User, Report Post and (wait for it...) a Pencil. For entries by other people, this will allow you to send them a private message. For entries by you, it will allow you to read your private messages.
