A Greenland Norwegian kite ski team sent news to ExplorersWeb about a video that they have posted about their expedition.

During the 2010 Greenland Spring the X-Greenland expedition with teammates Nils Arne Ro, Paal Brudevoll, Hans Friis and Ragnar Sandmark kite skied from DYE II to an exit point near Qaanaaq; a distance of about 1,500 – 1,700 km. The video shows them starting off at DYE II, riding the winds across the Inland ice, enjoying steaks for dinner, leaving the ice cap and exiting across rocks with their sleds.

Nils Arne told ExplorersWeb that they used the same exit route as Ronny Finsaas did in 2009. “A very good exit. We kited all the way to the edge of the icecap. Not a single crevasse crossed. Just to step out of the skis and walk on solid rocks.”
