I just ran across several dozen pictures from past kite fest/competitions. If there is interest, I will scan directly from the negatives and post them somewhere.

Frankly they aren't the greatest shots. Evidently I did not have a telephoto with me, so they tend to be dots in the sky and tiny figures on the ground. A few aren't too bad.

I've scanned in the pics from the Manistee, MI Kite Fest and Competition Sept 12-13, 1987. I've posted some sample small jpegs in my Gallery (see my profile). I would be happy to share these, or the hi-def (20+MByte TIFF files) original scans with anyone interested.

(added) Also some samples from the Grand Haven, MI Competition and Fest from May 1990

Well, it's Zero here in Michigan, and the wind is nil. Maybe not such great kiting weather.

However, I'd like to hear what's planned for spring and summer.
