"As Dirty Harry said...Do you feel Lucky... Ok, maybe that's not the best lead in but you've read this much so far. The NKM Poster contest has a $50.00 gift certificate at the AKA store and you can look like Colin if your poster wins. Who is Colin you ask... "The guy in the red sweatshirt on the left with the warm ears" he answers. Well, that's not all. You will also receive $50.00 in cash for a $100.00 total. It's easy to enter and with the right poster you could be the winner. If you can't draw your own picture then find your favourite Kite photo and add the required text and send it in. I like to think that I am responsible for making Whataduck famous... Then again, is getting to a lot of festivals and you cant miss Mike's winning poster including his huge yellow duck. You can brag about your picture being used around the world since it is an international celebration if you win. Grab your Kiting magazine and get all the details and then if you have more questions drop me a note." DAL4@aka.kite.org

I ran out of energy before I had the chance to post something in your area. If you dont recall WHataduck is Mike Dalmers huge ground bouncer. He submitted the pictures that was used a few years back for the NKM poster. He also has a deal with mini duck banners that have an interesting twist. Ask him about the adoptions when you get a chance. Back to the Poster contest. I would love to see a poster designed on the other side of the world used on our side of the pond as they say in some circles. Our festivals are on big open beaches with plenty of room to stand around and look at kites. I love the pictures from Europe and Asia with thousands of spectators lining every square inch that is not being used by the fliers. Having a picture showing a real excitement for kiting would sum things up nicely for me. Add the required caption andsuch as listed in Kiting and you have a winner as far as Im concerned. Next convince the rest of the judges and you could be the one to take the prize and the honor. IF you need help please contact me at DAL4@aka.kite.org or have Linda track me down.. Good Luck..
