The morning after the convention last year I got to fly in the snow if you count a few flakes. I have the kites ready and even with my cold/flu I am not going to miss the opportunity to fly if we have snow and enough wind to get a kite off the ground.

Driving to South Padre might be interesting but the weekend looks like it might be much better than was expected the beginning of the week. I look forward to seeing the pictures of sunny skies while a few hundred miles north they are talking about snow.

It looks like the snow possibility for the year is over. We had warm temps in the cloud area that caused the proposed snow to fall as rain and then hit the freezing ground in some areas further north. I ended up staying inside and nursing a cold with the kites safely kept in the bags. The weekend turned nice for the folks that braved the trip to South Padre. From the reports that I heard the week changed from cold and misrable to a cool and nice windy day when the festival started.
