Worldwide KAP Week 2011 - April 29th - May 8th

The dates for Worldwide KAP Week (WWKW) 2011 have been announced: Friday April 29th until Sunday May 8th.

In case this is the first time you've heard of Worldwide KAP Week, here's the deal in a nutshell: Everyone gets out wherever they are, as much as they can, during WWKW, and does KAP or something related to KAP (public speaking, gallery showing of KAP photos, etc.) Pictures are posted to the WWKW Flickr group for folks to share. If we're doing a book again this year, unmodified photos are submitted to the person coordinating the book along with captions and a block of text describing yourself, your experience during WWKW, etc.

The main idea with WWKW is to get out, fly a kite and a camera, and have a good time. It doesn't matter where you are, what kite you fly, or what you use to take your pictures. Have fun, blue skies, and share your stories.

And, to make it even better, this is the last week of National Kite Month! Tom and others, be sure to post events on the NKM calendar also. You never know, maybe your event will win a cool prize. If nothing else, it will be on a public website where we get a lot of traffic from those not yet totallya ddicted to kites.
