The Route 66 festival will be held May 20 & 21 in Joplin MO. This is a great festival!! Alex & I attended last year and are eagerly waiting for this year. Richard & Marti Dermer usually set up their kite making station.
They have a special rate at the La Quinta Inn for $66 a night, including breakfast. Tell them you are a kiteflier.Phone: (417) 781-0500

Barbara, hope you mad it home safe!!!!. Great weather Saturday, good wind and wonderful sunny. Very strong winds Sunday, 20 to 30 mph. I left at 12:00 noon and have been told field was clear by 4:00. Hoping all Joplin friends are ok.

I had plans to attend But the weather was a concern So I opted to stay close to home . Sorry I missed the fest.
My best wishes and heart go's out to the Families of Joplin during this time .
