This year’s loud auction in Wildwood, NJ is shaping up to have some incredible items up for bid! For the past couple of
conventions, the AKA auction team developed the “On Line Portion for the Auction” to be able to include members not able to be
at the convention. We would like to continue this option, however we are without a volunteer to manage the “On-Line Portion for
the Auction” process.

Without a volunteer for the AKA 2011 on-line auction, this portion of the auction process will not happen.

So, the auction team is asking for a volunteer to step up and run the “On-Line Portion for the Auction” process. If you are
interested in taking on this challenge, please contact Greg Lamoureux, Auction Chair 2011, email: auctionchair@aka.kite.org.

Remember, if no one steps up to take on this challenge, the “On-Line Portion for the Auction” for Convention 2011 will not happen.

There is the potential for larger participation among US members, as the auction will not run until the wee hours of the morning for many prospective bidders. This was a serious issue for me last year, as was the somewhat "clunky" service that was used to mediate the process.

I have not heard back regarding a Teleconference for the BOD meeting either. I can think of a couple or more RD's that will probably not be at the Convention this year. I wish I could've gone this year to help. I will definitely help out in Oklahoma next year to the best of my ability!
