It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that a long time kiteflyer from our region has passed away. Carl "Sonny" Williams, A former AKA member and active member of S.H.A.R.K. was admitted to the hospital over the weekend and passed away a short time later. His wife Nancy sent the following information to be shared with his friends.

Thank you all for the concern and support you have given me. I just wanted you to know the viewing is set for Saturday, the 17th from noon to three at the Niday Funeral Home at 6777 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, TX. It is east of Beltway 8, going toward LaPorte. There will be a wake/gathering afterward at his nephew's house at 10126 Rustic Rock Rd, LaPorte - just down the street from the funeral home. The dress for the viewing is casual (jeans and such - DO NOT wear a suit, please). In lieu of flowers, if you wish, please send a donation in his memory to the American Cancer Society - flowers will be appreciated, if desired instead of the donation and will be accepted by the funeral home Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.
