     In this age of iPads, DVDs, and Kindles, there is still something special about sitting down and reading and sharing a book with a youngster.  It's a bonding moment that we do ostensibly for the benefit of the child who craves this type of one on one attention but, later, realize that it meant as much, if not more, to us than it did to the child.

     If you are looking for just such a book to share with a preschooler in your life, Will Hillenbrand's new offering, "Kite Day", might fit the bill.  It has all the qualities of a good read aloud book: a good story that has a lesson for prospective kitefliers, a moral at the end, not too long, good pictures, and opportunities for interactive sound effects.

     The book is the latest chapter in the ongoing adventures of Bear and Mole.
