[LaVista] The largest club fly in the area, fun fly and demos with lessons for the beginners. Candy drops and displays.
         
GardenFest (PA)
[Kennett Square] "Kites for Kids" kite making, fun fly, and kite flying demonstrations will be part of this month-long fall celebration on the grounds of the world famous Longwood Gardens. Many family oriented activities will be held on the 350 acre former estate and in the Conservatory Exhibition Hall. Visitors are invited to bring their own kites and join us for a fall fun fly.
         
[Orting] This event will have many events for the children such as, kids kitemaking, face painting and much more. There will also be sport kite and fighter kite demonstrations.

[Lincoln City] 26th Annual Fall Kite Festival in Lincoln City. It is the weekend before the AKA convention in Seaside, just two hours north. Fliers from all over the United States are invited to come to the Oregon Coast and get two festivals for one Oregon Vacation. Fliers may pre-register for the festival on or before July 1, 2004, through the Lincoln City Visitor and Convention Bureau. Three names from the pre-registrants will be drawn to win a free night of lodging in Lincoln City.

[Denver] This year the multi-faceted event is working to build and feature several “Villages” – Kite Flying, Health & Fitness, World Cultures, Conservation & Sustainability, New England Town Center, Children’s, Pet, Art Tent and Harvest Market. For example in the Health & Fitness Village, Heritage College will be providing free massages by fourteen therapists. In the Children’s Village you will find amusements, a Pumpkin Patch sponsored by Edison Elementary School and kite making, and the Denver Center for the Performing Arts will give away a scholarship for the best booth depicting an environmental and peace theme to their famous DCPA Academy. Those who have something to say are welcome to get on the “soap box” for 3 minutes before Uncle Sam calls time, in the New England Town Center. Learn about energy efficiency and water conservation in the Conservation & Sustainability Village. Live entertainment will take place throughout the day on the Denver Parks & Recreation Show Wagon sponsored by the D-Note of Arvada and Black & Read Used Tapes and Records.

One Sky One World is being sponsored by the North Denver Tribune with support from the City and County of Denver: Department of Parks and Recreation, the Mayor’s Office of Art, Culture and Film, Councilman, Rick Garcia, Remax City Horizons, Sabor Latino Restaurant, Highland Mortgage Group, D-Note, Black & Read, Eldorado Water, SLOANS Neighborhood Association, Heritage College, AlterNative Voices, KBDI – Channel 12 and Sky Scrapers Kites, Foothills Kite Club and White Birds Unlimited.
           
[Columbus] A Kitefly for all types of kites and kiteflying in the Columbus Ohio Area. The Monthly fly is from 10 AM to 5 PM on the Second Sunday and Fourth Saturday of every month. These monthly flys are promoted and supervised by the Columbus Kiters.
           
[To the Kite Flying Area] This is an annual kite fly that is conducted around the world to help promote peace and understanding for all people !

[Deerfield] This is a fun fly for all that attend. It helps a local Deerfield youth group raise funds for their youth organization.

[Seaside] The AKA Convention is an annual five day gathering of kite enthusiasts, artists, and competitors. With roughly 500 members in attendance, the Convention ranks as one of the largest kite gatherings in the world. Convention activities include educational workshops, games, displays, and the Grand National kite competitions for kite making and sport kite flying. Committee and general business meetings are scheduled. Other highlights are the Great Kite Auction which offers unique and hard to get kite products and a retail FlyMarket for small vendors. The Convention is held in different locations each year and is scheduled in September or October. The gathering is only open to AKA members.

CKF XVII (NC)
[Atlantic Beach] CKF is a fun fly. Events are held in a center field and free flying is encouraged in side fields for single and multi line kites. Kids kite building is held both mornings. How to fly seminars are held both days. The Sat. night fly is awsome. The atmosphere is relaxed:no competitions are held. Big kites and Big names are always in attendance. There is no cost to attend. Volunteers do all the work. Come have fun and be a volunteer.
