[Port Colborne, ON] 13th Annual Canal Days Kite Festival which features kite flying, kite events, demonstrations and a barbeque for all registered visiting kitefliers. Over 100 serious kitefliers attend regularly and approx. 9000 spectators are in attendance.

The public is welcome to watch, chat, fly, enjoy, and join the club. We fly stunt kites, single line kites, fighter kites, and sometimes a buggy.

The public is welcome to watch, chat, fly, enjoy, and join the club. We fly stunt kites, single line kites, fighter kites, and sometimes a buggy.
[Dieppe, New Brunswick] Dieppe Kite International was launched in the goal of organizing an exciting original event on an international level that encourages exchanges among French-speaking countries. Following the success of the Village de la Francophonie, the town of Dieppe saw a need to plan an event to promote the local region around the world.

The international event will bring together kite enthusiasts from around the globe and there will be kiting events throughout the week including a kid’s day kite, demos, rokkaku battles, kite creation competition based on the theme “Discover the Universe”, static displays, a night flight and various expositions.

Only in its third presentation, Dieppe Kite International will, in 2005, be the largest international kite festival in North America. This years event will include over 30 kite enthusiasts from 12 countries from around the world and over 50,000 visitors are expected on site.

In terms of community events, the 2005 Dieppe Kite International promises many great activities, highlighted by the Acadian Day celebration. Come and join us for the Acadian Day festivities on August 15th!

[Glencoe] Chicago Botanic Gardens..August 13 & 14th! KSWI in partership with Gift of Wings and the Chicago Botanic Gardens presents this very FIRST Kite Festival at the Gardens Featuring The Chicago Fire, Josh and Zak Gordon, and Paul Koepke and Kathy Brunnehl. A highlite of the weekend will be Charlie Sotich and his kite making workshop for the kids of Chicago. The festival will be located in a relatively small flying field, West of the main entrance. Kite flyers will have one nice area to fly during this event. The times are 12:00 noon until 4 pm each day. The gardens were voted as the third best attraction in the Chicagoland area, so plan to spend the entire day flying kites and visiting this beautiful Park. This is our first event and we want to make a very good impression. Their is a small parking fee. This is another wonderful kite flying event brought to you by the Kite Society of Wisconsin and your friends at Gift of Wings.....Watch for more events coming soon to the Chicagoland area. [Seal Beach] *Aug 13th, 2005, Saturday (instead of Sunday this month) - Kite Club Saturday (1PM - 10PM) - Seal Beach, CA - Night Fly. Kite Club Sunday right side of Seal Beach Pier. This is the time for all the lighted kites to go up in the air. Bring a dish to share. Potluck around 5PM. P.S. If it is raining then kite club Sunday will be cancelled. We will meet at the store on Main Street

[Rockaway Beach, Queens, NYC] The New York Kite Festival features some of the best kitemakers in the United States along with a few international guests filling the skies over Riis Park with beautiful kites. Giant kites will fill the air all day, and be joined by hundreds of kid’s kites made in workshops that run all day long. Kites, music, food and fun! Join us for two days on the beach at the 5th Annual festival.

[St. Paul] This is the Japanese cultural event of the year celebrating 50 years of friendship between the cities of St. Paul and Nagasaki. This event features Japanese
cuisine, entertainment, demonstrations, arts and crafts.
With special guest Seiko Nakamura and his kites. Nakamura is concidered the number one Hata maker in the world.
         
[Jersey City] 300 feet long dragon kites, 36 feet wide eagle, lobster, 20 feet American flag kite hanging 30 feet+ American flag and beautiful Western Kites, Kite demos, fun flying Kite making workshop, kite drawing competition, kites giveaway, health exercise, cultural performances, free food + more
[Pennsville] A fun filled event from noon to 4 pm. Free kitemaking for kids, prizes for biggest kite, smallest kite, prettiest kite, funniest kite that flys the highest and others. Big kites in the air, demos, candy drops and help learning to fly.

[Provincetown] PMPM is approximately 1-1/4 hours’ driving time from the Sagamore Bridge and Cape Cod Canal.

Free admission to club members who fly their kites, free parking too.

[Callaway] Labor Day Weekend of Fun Flying. Official flying starts with the Flag raising at 10:00 a.m. at Foster Smith Field on both Saturday and Sunday. Flying continues all day and can continue into a Night Fly. Free entertainment at Callaway Community Center in Callaway on both Saturday and Sunday evenings. Free Camping in Morgan Park with Showers (suggested donation of $1.00 a day per person. Spectators can watch free of charge. If you want to fly-a $20 per family charge that covers the whole weekend and includes 1 free t-shirt commemorating the event. Free shuttle bus from Morgan Park to flying site that operates on the hour.

[Boston] This kite festival is open to everyone and offers a beautiful location with steady wind.
         
[Beech Mountain] Come visit Beech Mountain for a Family Friendly day of Kite Flying. Saturday enjoy the Chamber Street Dance and see kites with lights. Sunday kids are invited to make kites, fly kites, play kite games and see the demonstrations by Wings Across Carolina Kiting and Okra Society, and the Richmond Air Force kite clubs.
