[Kill Devil Hills] The competition is in its 24th year and welcomes all kite enthusiasts and competitors. The sport kite competition is held over a two day period and includes individual as well as team competition. [Seal Beach] Japanese Kite Master Mikio Toki will be the featured guest at our 14th Annual Japan America Kite Festival that will be held at Seal Beach, California.
The festival attracts over 6,000 people and features a dazzling display of 1,000 kites of all colors and sizes, ranging from 6 inches to 60 yards long. Every child gets to make a free sode (“kimono" shaped) kite and participate in numerous games and contests.

[Columbia] A central Missouri annual fly to unite kiters from St. Louis’s Gateway Kite Club, Jefferson City Kiters, Columbia Kiters, and Kansas City Kite Club from Kansas City.
Columbia Friends of China (http://friendsofchina.missouri.org/) is sponsoring a kite master from Weifang Kite Museum, China, to the “One Sky, One World” festival on Oct. 10, 2010. Qian Jianguo will bring his expertise in kite making as well as kite flying to Columbia's community.

This year will feature kite tying and flying demonstrations by Chinese Kite Master Qian Jianguo. Master Qian and his wife, kite artist Lang Fenglian, are sponsored by Columbia Friends of China. Kites will be available for purchase at the Columbia Friends of China booth.

[Seaside] The AKA Convention is an annual five day gathering of kite enthusiasts, artists, and competitors. With roughly 400 members in attendance, the Convention ranks as one of the largest kite gatherings in the world.
[MIAMI BEACH] The Miami Kite Club is organizing "Fly for Autism", a kite flying day at Haulover Park, Miami Beach. Approximately 500-1000 people will participate in this event to support autistic kids and their "Autism Speaks" foundation.

[Cape Town] ‘Uplifting Mind and Body’ is the theme for the sixteenth Cape Town International Kite Festival proudly hosted by Cape Mental Health.This is Africa’s biggest kite festival and attracts over 20,000 visitors, including some of the biggest names in kiting in South Africa and the world who fly in to show off their magnificent kite creations
