[Denver] Our monthly fly for the Denver Metro area and Colorado. All are welcome to join us here every First Sunday, regardless of weather conditions. Please contact us to find out if there are any changes due to soccer or other kite festivals on a particular day.
   
[Milwaukee] The COOL FOOL KITE FESTIVAL..TUESDAY, New Years Day, 2014.. 11 am until 5 pm. in Veterans Park on Milwaukee’s Lakefront. This is a FREE event, with plenty of FREE parking. We will have Free Hot Chocolate, Coffee, and Snacks, compliments of Bella Caffe, while they last. This is a "Fun Fly" so bring your kite or pick up a kite at Gift of Wings at the park. See Sarah, Noreen, Bob, and Emily, our quiet ice artists, carve blocks of ice into masterpieces before your very eyes. Ice carving lessons will also be available. Brett Williams, the Kite Whispererer, will be on hand to show everyone how to fly a kite. The Giant kites of Gift of Wings will also be flying high over Milwaukee’s Lakefront. Gift of Wings, now has the largest collection of giant kites in the Midwest. Carriage rides will also be available for a small fee from Milwaukee Coach and Carriage. Hot food is also available for purchase. This festival is brought to you by Gift of Wings, B93.3 Radio, 102.1 WLUM AND WMCS Radio, Bella Caffe, and the Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois.Thanks to our friends at Milwaukee County Parks. Ahmedabad IKF 2014 (Gujarat)
[Ahmedabad] Greetings from Gujarat Tourism!
Often known as the lion of India, Gujarat is the country’s westernmost and most progressive state. It is blessed with greenery, beache deserts, heritage, a rich culture and celebrations that span the entire year! The grandest one being the Kite Festival, organized by the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL). A diligent body of professionals, TCGL ensures soaring spirits all around.
The International Kite Festival of Gujarat is being celebrated on a much larger scale than any other state of India. A fact that Gujarat celebrated its 25th International Kite Festival last year is one of the parameters to appraise the popularity of IKF of Gujarat.
Gujarat Tourism invites you to become a part of this magnificent festival which is being celebrated from 7th January to 15th January, 2014. This year, TCGL has planned much more than just a kite flying at Ahmedabad city for its participants. This includes kite shows at various locations like Mumbai, Delhi, Little Rann of Kutch, Saputara (the only Hill station of Gujarat), Mandvi (most serene beach of Gujarat Er ship making yard of old era), Champaner (UNESCO World Heritage site), White Desert at Dhordo (Kutch), etc. The kite festival at Ahmedabad will be having other attractions like Craft Bazaar, Cultural Performances Er Musical Evenings to name a few.
So, just drop into Mumbai or Delhi and TCGL will take care of your local travel, meals and hospitality. TCGL will also ensure you get glimpses of the beautiful destinations mentioned above while you are in our amazing state.

[Long Beach] The 13th Annual Windless Kite Festival, January 18 and 19, , 2014, will have something new. On Friday, the 17th, the gym opens at 4 pm. Bring a flat kite or two to color the walls with. Friday is all about setting up and some free flying time. Saturday morning, the gym will open at 8 am for more free flying time. At 11:00, we will have the 1st ever Open Individual Indoor Single-line competition! Judged with the same score sheet, rules, and format as the Unlimited event. An indoor competition just for the single line kites. Then, more free flying time. We’ll have plenty of opportunity to let people try this indoor flying out. We love to help people get started with a quick lesson. At 2:00, we will have the main event. The AKA Open Individual Indoor Unlimited competition. Last year, we had 22 competitors, and we expect a great showing again this year! Then more free flying time until 5:00 when we head to the Kite Museum for the Italian Potluck Dinner. There will be awards and a bag raffle. Bring that special raffle item, the funds raised go toward supporting the Museum. Sunday, the gym will open up at 8:00 for more free flying time. At 11:00, will be the Indoor Hot Trick Shoot-out, immediately followed with some demos and the grand finale. After all that, you’ll get even more free flying time! Registration for the competition is $15 on site only. Featured flier is Nicole O’Neill.
         
[Minneapolis] Come out and join us for a fun-filled day of activities at Lake Harriet in Minneapolis! Event includes kite flying, horse drawn wagon rides, ice fishing, food and refreshments, and more. Kites will be available at a booth near the band shell for those who come without one.

There will be giant show kites, precision stunt teams performing their kite artistry with accompanying music, fantastic ground display and meet some of the most notable kitefliers in the country.
