New Jersey Cape May: The beach is the widest from in front of the Atlas Motor Lodge up to and including Poverty Beach. Hoboken: A new park in Hoboken was opened on the waterfront 5/3/99. They basically took one of the old piers and converted it into a large open lawn area. There is plenty of room to fly and the wind comes right off the Hudson- -consistent and strong. Its proximity to the city and ease of egress most beneficial. Take the PATH, exit at the Hoboken station and walk north two blocks. The park is right on the water, beginning at the end of 1st street and ending around 3rd. Liberty State Park overlooking the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty. From Manhattan, you can take the water taxi and it will let you off in the park. If driving, it is exit 14B off the NJ Tpke. Follow the signs for the Liberty Science Center. Once past the Center follow signs for the ferry. Mercer County Park
