Description:
Leigh Blakey and Lee Taylor bring fabric painting instruction to this kite design and kite making workshop. Each participant will learn resist and fabric painting techniques while decorating a 28" by 28" kite skin with three sets of dramatic ripstop tails. Lee says this can easily be done in the two days with some time left to fly. All materials will be provided. Besides the sewing machines, thread, etc., each person needs to prepare the kite tails before they come if possible. Three colors of ripstop are recommended. Make one 15' tail and two 10' tails of each of three colors, all 3" before hemming. Choose colors you'd like t use in your kite.
