Description:
This is the second annual "Wings on Strings" Kite festival sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association, (EAA) The Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois, and Gift of Wings. Events during the day include professional kite flying teams, contests and open flying for the public. World famous kite maker, Charlie Sotich will be making kites for the kids. Gift of Wings will be on-site selling kites to those who wish to purchase kites or bring your own kites to fly. The kite festival will be held on and around the runway at Pioneer Airport right next to the EAA Airventure Museum. The festival is free to the public and we encourage everyone to make a day of it and fly your kites and visit the EAA museum. Food will also be served. A complete list of performers will be announced soon.
