Description:
Ansel Toney was a kiteflier, kitemaker and great man who was officially recognized by the State of Indiana as "Kiteman of Indiana" and has been an inspiration to kite enthusiasts from all over the country. The Hoosier Kitefliers Society is honoring his memory and family name by hosting a two-day kite festival at the Academy of Model Aeronautics in Muncie, Indiana on May 3rd and 4th, 2003. The festivities will include: -Kite making workshops! Children get to "make and take" the kites they build. Kids get a real sense of satisfaction when they fly the kite that they made themselves, and is evident by the smiles on their faces. -A "Grand Ascension" of kites made by Ansel. -Sport Kite competitions The grounds of the AMA are kept in pristine condition by full time staff and are a pure pleasure to fly kites on. Come join us for two days of stress-free fun!
