Description:
The Wright Flight Centennial Kite Festival will be a spectacular three day event celebrating man’s first powered flight! Ther will be family activities: kite making, kite games and buggy rides. Exhibits: Kite Stamps, Miniature Kites, and Kite History displays. Demonstrations: Team Flying, Rok Battles, Art Kites, Contests: Box Kite Making, The Wrong Flyer Kite Making, Banner making, Best Ground Display. Each Day will have an opening ceremony celebrating Flag Day with a salute to the troops, a nod to Fathers Day, A TRibute to Francis Rogallo, Poetry contest winner, raising of the arch over the Wright Brother memorial. This is a one time only event that is shaping up to be a historic event in it’s own right.

There will be a big party thrown by Go Fly a Kite that is free to all AKA members on Saturday June 14th. There will be food, beer, music, product give aways etc. There is no charge for registration but it is required to get a field pass and be rsvp'd for the party Saturday night.
