Kite Festival coming to Hatteras Island Hatteras, NC – Come fly in the shadow of the Hatteras Lighthouse with Kitty Hawk Kites. A full day of fun including: big kites in the air, kids’ kite making, stunt kite demonstrations, games, and activities for the whole family. The party starts at 10am and runs until 3pm at Hatteras Landing near the ferry docks. Activities will include everything from kite flying and toy demos to kite making and face painting, all for free! We’ll also have a special visit from the lovable, huggable Wilbear! Plus, don’t miss out on the wall climbing and mini kayak tours that are available for a small fee. Bring the whole family out for this exciting event. It is sure to be fun for kids of all ages! We’ll even have a kite pro on hand to answer all you kiting questions.
