Kites In The Classroom. Grinnell 4th graders. Kite maker challenge to Jr. High, High School, and Grinnell College students. General attendance kitds kite workshop. Pancake breakfast followed by kite parade followed by mass ascension. Indoor flying exhibition. General flying field. Large kite flying field and sport kite field with exhibition. Night flight. Food vendors available on grounds. Spring prevailing winds are from the west and southwest.
