Description:
"Kite Day" is organized by the Bloomington Sister City Organization and celebrates "Children’s Day" in Japan. Izumi, Japan is Bloomington’s sister city. "Kite Day" has evolved to become a popular Springtime kite fly in Minnesota.
Members from other Twin Cities-based Japan-America organizations and from Minnesota Kite Society will participate. Kites will be available for people to fly. Music and food will be provided. Event occurs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
From I-494 in Bloomington, exit at Portland Avenue. Go south about 1-1/2 miles to the stoplight at 90th St. Turn right and go west to the next right turn at 3rd Avenue.
