LIVE ON THE INTERNET ON THIS WEB SITE!! LIVE ON THE INTERNET..MOTS 2007...29 GREAT YEARS! THE WORLD will be WATCHING US FLY! "The 29th Annual Time Warner Cable Frank Mots International Kite Festival will be held on Saturday, September 8th,& Sunday September 9th, 2007, in Veterans Park on Milwaukee’s Lakefront from 10:00 am until 6:00Pm Saturday and 10:00 am until 5:00pm on Sunday. County Executive Scott Walker will kick off the festival at 12 noon with a grand launch of hopefully 500 kites. That’s right...two great days of flying. The event is sponsored by the Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois, and Gift of Wings, and our great media partners, WLUM Rock 1021, Smooth WJZI, and 1290am WMCS. Featured performers include Chicago Fire, Josh and Zack Gordon, Charlie Sotich, Team Pegasus, Dan Newman,Paul Koepke, Team EOS, Brett Williams, Jim Cosca, Dan Jones, Scott Fisher and Ann Brinnehl, Something Old & Something New, That crazy and talented Mrs. Kite Lady-Donna Schenk, Paula Schenk, Jim Wirt, Mike Delfar and the kites of Yves LaForest and Anne Clement. Yves Laforest will feature 2 GIANT Octopi kites flying high over Milwaukee. We are happy to announce the National Revolution Kite Team called IQUAD will be performing at Mots for the first time. This is a very talented group of kite flyers lead by John Barresi, and sponsored by Revolution Kites. The grand Launch of around 500 kites will take place directly at noon. The professional kite teams will start performing at 12:30 pm followed by the Kids Mad Dash at 2:00. See Roscoe from the Milwaukee Admirals, and Bango from the Bucks.
