Description:
Two-day kite festival on grass (!), on shores of Puget Sound, overlooking the Olympic Mountains. Single-line area, kid’s kitemaking, sportkite lessons, two mass ascensions, and two-day AKA-sanctioned sportkite competition and AKA-indoor competition. Some food booths (order lunches early online), teddy-bear drop for the kids. Pre-registration for sportkite competition strongly encouraged.
This is a very popular Northwest event, drawing visitors from Canada to California, about 5,000 visitors over the weekend.
