Kids Kitemaking
Description:
MKS will observe a little larger One Sky One World event than in previous years. Dave Herzig will put on a kids kitemaking workshop from noon to 3 p.m. (or longer, depending on interest).

MKS will also have a booth to distribute ready-to-fly kites to people who come, but who do not want to make a kite at the workshop. MKS will also distribute information on upcoming kite events around the region.

Pat McGrann of the "Kitegang" will have a booth to display photos and information about his organization and the work they are doing to help people on the fringes of society in developing countries around the world. (See article on the Kitegang in the Fall issue of AKA Kiting.)

Music to fly by and public address to be provided by Mr. Kite, Craig Christensen. Come out and fly a kite with us on this international day of kite flying! This event will occur from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

From I-694 in Fridley, exit at University Ave. and go north ½ mile to 61st Ave. NE. Turn right and go four blocks to 7th St. NE. Turn left and go north about 200 yards to the flying field.
