Description:
As we pondered next years events and we would like to announce that the Atlantic Coast Kite Festival this year in Virginia Beach and Portsmouth Virginia will be held May 2 – 4, 2008.
This event is sponsored by both cities with additional sponsorship from HQ Kites and Jackite, Inc.
Our schedule this year, as we expand, includes on Friday May 2nd (5 – 9pm) a party to view one of The Drachen Foundation Exhibits and for welcoming the kite flyers. A Kite Festival Saturday May 3rd (10 – 5) at the Virginia Beach ocean front (same as previous years) with a party afterwards at the Stankus’ residence. And finally, on May 4th (11 – 4), a Kite Festival at the city park in Portsmouth VA, which is just around the corner.
