Description:
This kite festival is an annual family event in Arvada and it continues to grow. There are kite competitions for 10 & under and 11 & over in four categories including: largest kite, smallest kite, highest kite and most visually appealing kite. Winners receive trophies. The Foothills Kite Club is a co-sponsor with the Arvada Festival Commission. Also included are many activities for children, including jumping castles, face painter and drawings for prizes.

Directions:
I-70 West to Wadsworth Blvd. Go north on Watdsworth Blvd. to 68th Ave. Turn left on 68th and go to Carr St. Turn right onto Carr and go north. It turns into 74th Ave. Go two blocks, to Carr and 74th and the park.

The Foothills Kite Club will be demonstrating kite flying with their beautiful kites.
