Description:

The 10th annual Children’s Kite Fly will be held on March 8, 2008 at Dorey Park in Henrico County, VA. Members of the Richmond Air Force Kite Club will be on hand to demonstrate an array of unique kites and various styles of flying throughout the day. The event is held in cooperation with Henrico County (VA) and the Henrico County Parks and Recreation Department. Club members will fly kites in a designated area. Music, appropriate to all ages, will be provided throughout the day. The general public is invited to fly their own kites in the open fields adjacent to the demonstration area. The event begins at 10:00 AM and ends at 3:00 PM.

Dorey Park is located on Darbytown Road approximately one mile east of the intersection of Laburnum and Darbytown Road in Henrico County, VA. The intersection of Laburnum and Darbytown Roads may be reached by Pocohontas Parkway or from I-64 (Laburnum Road exit)
