Description:

This is our 8th annual kite and music festival to celebrate National Kite Month! It is a family fun-filled afternoon of kite flying and listening to live rhythm and blues music on the beach. There will a variety of specialty kites, stunt kites, and kitesurfing demonstrations, kite making for children, (while kite supplies last!), drawings for kites and loads of novelty and specialty kites offered for sale.

When you come across the 192 Causeway you are then on the barrier island. So you can turn right at the first light, Riverside Drive, (but obey the speed limit!), and enjoy the lovely ride into Melbourne Beach. Riverside curves left into Ocean Avenue and begin looking for parking ASAP as it’s a tiny beach town with limited parking, (be careful NOT to park where you may be town...watch for signs!). Admission is free to the event. Children kite making is $3 and tickets for kite drawings are $2.
