Description:
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
This new annual event celebrates kites, hawks and wind. Come build a kite, visit with live hawks, listen to a Native American storyteller and take in a program about hawks and the Rio Grande. Ribbons will be awarded for the youngest and oldest kite fliers, the best raptor design on a kite and the best "wreck." There will be kite and food vendors on site.

West Las Vegas 6th graders are partners in this event and will be assisting festival participants in building kites.
