Description:
The Science Center will have a 2 day festival to kick off a display in conjunction with Taiwanese American Heritage Week. Over 60 kites will be part of the one month display. The Science Center will be issuing a design challenge to area schools for the month of April that will be judged this weekend. Taiwanese Kite Master Buteo Huang will be brought in to fly some trains and a commissioned dinosaur kite that is 6.4 meters wide and 1.8 meters long. The Gateway Kite Club will hold demos both days. The organizers of this festival would like to see it to grow into an international competition, so spread the word and come help us share our love of kiting at the first of what may become a premier kiting event.
