“Kite Flight 2009,” an annual event of expert kite-flying demonstrations, kite-making workshops, public kite flying and family entertainment, takes place 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., Sun., May 3rd, at Ontario Beach Park, headquartered at the Robach Community Center. A free kite making workshop sponsored by City recreation staff and Wonder Works will be offered for children to learn how to make their own kites. Refreshments will be available for purchase, with all proceeds supporting programs of the Charlotte Community Association.
