The VFW hosts their annual Come Fly a Kite With a Veteran, starting with their family kitebuilding workshop at the Memorial Building on Sept 25th and followed by flies for prizes during the Idaho Kite Festival 2009, Oct 1-3, noon to 5 pm wind permitting. Flies will be at the church park (Hawthorne Road at James) beside Portneuf District Library, location of several other kitemaking workshops.
