Description:
The Tour De Kites Continues “Wings on Strings” Kite Festival is Sponsored by The EAA, The Kite Society of Wisconsin & Illinois, and Gift of Wings.
This Kite Festival will be held at the EAA AirVenture Museum in Oshkosh on Pioneer Airport.
No Airplanes allowed.The times are from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, on Saturday, June 19th, with the Grand Launch of 300 or more kites taking to the skies at 11:30am.
The event is FREE, with plenty of FREE parking. Gift of Wings will be on sight selling all of your favorite kites, windsocks and Garden Spinners.
Come fly a kite and check out the great display of airplanes at the EAA AirVenture Museum.
Featured performers include Chicago Fire Kite Team.
Mike Delfar, Elizabeth Gordon, Paul Koepke, Dan Newman, Josh and Zach Gordon, Fire & Ice, EOS, O2, Something Old-Something New, and The Giant MEGA Kites of Yves Laforest.
Yves will be debuting the Mega Octopus Kite and the Giant Manta Ray kite for the first time in Northeastern Wisconsin.
Gift of Wings and the EAA will be making free Charlie Sotich kites for the kids.
Candy will fall from the sky, along with hot tasty Johnsonville Brats, as Team O2 and Dan Brinnehl host the Candy and Brat drops on Saturday.
he Kids Mad Dash will be taking place at 2:00 pm.
The first 100 kids that sign up and participate in the Kids Mad Dash will receive a free kite.
Hot Johnsonville Brats and Nathans Hot Dogs, will be sold during the event.

Directions:
Oshkosh is located in North Eastern Wisconsin, and is accessible via several major highways. Oshkosh is: 1-1/2 hour drive from Madison; 2-1/2 hour drive from Chicago (via I-90/94). (Hyw 41) 1-1/2 hour drive from Milwaukee...Take Hwy 41 to Oshkosh EAA Airventure Museum and exit at Hwy 44.
