Description:
Our first known kite festival in Wyoming for many years or more. We have been invited to coordinate a kids kite festival and demo of our many
types of kiting.
Surrounded by over 200 acres of open, Treeless land with trimmed Prairie
Grass and world famous Wyoming WIND!!! many days in excess of 20MPH,
the Wyoming Territorial Prison was built in 1872, and housed over 1,000
prisoners from the
Wild West, the most famous being Butch Cassidy himself.
The facility was decommissioned in 1903, used as a stable until the
1990’s when it was restored & became a Museum
the "Alcatraz" of the Old West.
The event is from 9AM to 6PM. We are considering CAMPING together at a
local campground after the festival, hence the additional day added to
the event.
If the Winds persist after Dusk, some of us may do a Night Fly in the
nearest open area at camp.
