1st annual Mt. Shasta Kite Festival, a "Day at Hoy Park" in Lake Shastina, on the outskirts of Weed, California, high on the slopes of beautiful Mt. Shasta. Live music by Jimmy Limo, hot dogs, burgers, vege-wraps, and drinks by the Lake Shastina Community Foundation. Kites will be available for sale if you don't want to build your own. Family friendly fun...summer’s last hurrah!

Take I-5 to exit 747 (Central Weed)(about 9 miles north of Mt Shasta); take Weed Blvd into town; at Rays Market, take Hwy 97 toward Klamath Falls approximately five miles; turn LEFT on Big Springs Road, approximately four miles to Lake Shastina Dr; turn RIGHT, it becomes Pinehill Road, five blocks and you're there!
