Description:
The 22nd annual Strawberry Fields Kite Festival takes place on two days (for the first time!) on the south lawn of Regional Mental Health Care - St. Thomas, the largest flying field in southwestern Ontario.
Mostly a fun fly - with the field open to anyone with a kite - the festival has been attended by members of kite clubs from all over Ontario, as well as Michigan and New York states.
The festival features lots of things for children - a kite making workshop, face painting and bubbles, as well as food vendors and other exhibitors. With free admission and plenty of on site parking, this is a community event that brings together the public and dedicated kite fliers.

Directions:

The field is located at the corner of John Wise Line and Sunset Dr. in St. Thomas. From the 401, take the Wellington Rd. exit south. It turns into Sunset Dr. Continue south til you get to the Mental Health facility, a large set of buildings on the east side of the road. The field is on the south side of the buildings.
