26th annual "Flying Colors" is Minnesota Kite Society’s BIG summer kite festival. This is a FREE event. We encourage the public to come and participate in our festival! Activities to include: Kids’ kite making workshop (while supplies last) Kids’ grand prix kite flying competitions Kids’ glider competitions Kids’ bol races Kids’ candy drops Sport kite demonstrations Rokkaku battle Flying of giant display kites Fun Fly for all ages

From I-494 in Bloomington, exit at Portland Avenue S. Go south about 1-1/2 miles to Valley View Middle School. The school’d parking lot is a block north of the stoplight at 90th Street. The flying field is on the northwest corner of 90th Street and Portland Avenue S.
