Evening entertainment available on Saturday and Sunday evenings as well as night flys after dark if possible. Free Camping in Morgan Park in Callaway, showers at the swimming pool. Concessions at flying site and a shuttle bus for transport.

[Two Rivers] After a great inaugural Kites Over Lake Michigan last year, we are ready for our much anticipated second kite festival. We will have some of the premier kitefliers in the region joining us, like Bob Rymaszewski, Paul Fieber, the Bowdens, the Wagners, Jeff Hale, the Lauers, the Kilips and others. We will also have stunt teams like O2 and Fire and Ice showing off their latest moves. In addition to kites in the sky, there will be an amazing ground display on the beach. This is a very talented group of kite flyers lead by John Barresi, and sponsored by Revolution Kites. The grand Launch of around 500 kites will take place directly at noon. [Ogunquit] The 10th Annual Capriccio Festival of Kites will be held on the Ogunquit Beach from 10am-2pm on Saturday, September 8th, 2007. The Festival is part of a two-week long Festival of the Arts. Over 300 kites will be given away to kids to decorate and fly. All volunteers that help with the set-up, kite decorating or demonstrate any kite flying will receive a free t-shirt and free parking. [Bel Air] Celebrate Harford Community College’s 50th Anniversary at this family-friendly event featuring two fun-filled days for kids of all ages! Treat your family to carnival games and rides, laser tag, a rock climbing wall, kite flying, children’s activities, crafts, music and performances, magicians, storytellers, community vendors, food, and much more on September 15 and 16. FESTIVITIES INCLUDE:

KITE FLYING - Allen Ault and other kite flyers will educate the public in the art, history, technology, and practice of flying kites to advance the joys and values of kiting. Kites will also be available for purchase.
         
[Narragansett] The top competitive kite fliers of all kinds from all over the Northeast will converge on Scarborough beach for two days of fun and spirited competitions. The competitors will be competing for regional and national points as the festival will be sanctioned by the both the American Kitefliers Association and the Eastern League Sport Kite Association.



There will be lessons for those who would like to learn to fly and a clinic conducted by two former national champions for those who have never competed and would like to try. There will be a single-line field to fill the sky with kites and extra room for anyone who would like to come and fly with us.

[Seal Beach] The Seal Beach Kite Festival is now one of the largest kite festivals in Southern CA. There are 3 large fields. There will be performance kites and contests for children with prizes in one area, single line people who want to fly kites in another, and the third will be for big giant kites. Also, two perfomances by Taiko drummers. There is a large kite-building where kids can go through and assemble there kites to go fly. Last year, we built 1000 kites, and we are planning on doing the same.
         
[Fairview] First annual Portland kite festival at Blue Lake Park. All fliers invited. Emphasis is on family fun, children’s events, learning how to fly, toy drop, mass ascension, interactive kite play, possible clowns, kite display and identification contest, possible relays, wind and windless toys, picnic grounds, beautiful lake with ducks and birds. NO COMPETITION! Quad and dual line areas may be limited.
There will be demo stunt kite flying, running of the bols, large kite displays, live Glen Miller Era Band, food booths, kite sales, clowns and face painting.
[DeKalb] Enjoy a fun-filled day of kite flying with the entire family. Kids can make their own kites and there’s also a kite candy drop. Professional kite-flyers and kite-builders are on hand to answer questions and demonstrate their skills. Many featured kites defy description, including fighting kites, dancing kites, and show kites.
